THE NEW BLACKBERRY BOLD

I’m a pretty devout iPhone user. My original iPhone has been good to me. The new 2.0 firmware upgrade takes the device to a whole new level of awesomeness. But as awesome as the iPhone is, I couldn’t help but drool a bit when I first glimpsed the BlackBerry Bold. RIM promised a unique mix of form and function and according to the Boy Genius Report, they’ve pretty much delivered.

Boy Genius had a chance to take the Bold on a month long field test (seriously, we’re jealous) and the results are pretty much what most of us expected. It’s exactly what BlackBerry fans have been waiting for. Boy Genius says it best when they refer to the Bold as the “BlackBerry communities iPhone”.

KYOCERA EOS WITH O-LED DISPLAY

Kyocera developers who resident in San Diego and Bangalore have gratefully shared their groundwork that incorporates mobile phone technologies of tomorrow. At the first glance the Kyocera EOS concept phone doesn’t seem to have more than seven or ten percents of parts our eyes got used to. If EOS was an end product, it wouldn’t need to be plugged for a recharge, would feature very innovative ergonomics and tactile sensations of human’s skin. All that though is achieved by technologies that are already used today but have never before been united in a mobile phone. Add to Mixx!

Wii dumbbell helps gamers shape up

The same can also apply to gamers who have a notoriously poor reputation of keeping their health in check - and Power Play Corp. hopes to somewhat debunk that myth/fact with the Riiflex Wii Dumbbell. This not only doubles up as your Wiimote cover, it also offers the chance to exercise while you swing that Wiimote around wildly. For those who want to add a little bit of resistance weights to their Wii regime, you can pick up the 2lbs set foor $20 or 4lbs set for $40. Add to Mixx!

Solar powered oven gets green prize.

A $6 cardboard box that uses solar power to cook food, sterilize water and could help 3 billion poor people cut greenhouse gases, has won a $75,000 prize for ideas to fight global warming. The "Kyoto Box," named after the United Nations Kyoto Protocol that seeks to cut emissions of green house gases, is aimed at billions of people who use firewood to cook. Costing $6.60 to make, it can also make it easier to boil polluted water. "we're saving lives and saving trees," the Kyoto Box's developer Jon Boehmer, a Norwegian based in Kenya, said in a statement. The FT climate change challenge was backed by the Financial Times, technology group Hewlett-Packard, which sponsored the award, and development group Forum for the Future.

Now That's What I Call Class--The Gold Mouse

The Gold Bullion Wireless Mouse (not to be confused the the piratey USB hub) is actually plastic. Which is why it costs $35 and not $35 gajillion. To its credit though, it does have a scroll wheel. But still, why anybody would actually pay for this garish piece of bullionshit (count it) is beyond me. That said, I bought one as a gag gift for The Superficial Writer. He loves this kind of crap. Can you make phone calls through your watch?

  • It was 17th March, my husband's birthday. I thought of gifting him something special and different. I went shopping and chose a slim and a cute watch as the gift. You may be wondering what is so special in a watch? The speciality of the watch is that it can also be used as a smart phone.
  • The phone watch LG-GD910 comes with keys to scroll the stored phone numbers and making calls. It has a 3.65cm screen with touch screen interface.
  • The microphone of LG-GD910 is quite powerful to function as a speaker phone and hence there is no need to carry the watch near the mouth or the ears to attend to phone calls. It also has provision for blue tooth.
  • The LG-GD910 is 3G compatible and uses third generation wireless technology just like other smart phones.
  • The first 3G phone to acheive a speed of 7.2 Mbps for HSDPA and hence can dowmload at faster rate.
  • The LG-GD910 can be used for video conferencing, displaying videos and hearing songs with the MP3 player provided in the watch tied on the wrist. It is also provided with voice recognition software.
  • Now the people may think my husband to be little odd as he messages into his wrist but you know they are just jealous.

Flexible speaker for better acoustics

  • I have a music system at home with no traditional visible speakers attached to it. But still the sound is crystal clear, well amplified and excellent. This would not have been possible but for the flat speakers of just 0.25mm thickness hung on the walls of my house like pictures.
  • The speaker can be used for making announcements in public places as it has an excellent amplifying effect.
  • The speaker is slim, beautiful and flexible.
  • I have also hidden it in the interior of my car as it literally occupies no space.
  • It no doubt can be used as a tool for interior decoration as well as an amplifier for better acoustics.
