Can your key board recognise you?

  • If I say that my keyboard can recogmise me on installing a software may sound to be something imaginary and just impossible. British scientists have developed a software when downloaded into your computer can recogmise the user and will make passwords and other security systems obsolete.
  • The software developed by Mike Dowman of University of Abertay, UK, uses 36 characters of log in details in 42.84 attempts.
  • On testing,  the software was able to detect 97.2% of the users correctly. With the rhythm and speed of typing the software could also detect the stress level of the user based on the time and the level at which the keys are handled.
  • The software also enables the designing of a security system to raise an alarm if a person is being forced to log in into a system.
