What is IMEI? How does it help?

  • International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is a unique 15 digit code identifying a handset.
  • IMEI number prevents the user from making calls from a stolen handset and allows security agencies to track down a specific user.
  • Around 25 million handsets in the country are without the IMEI number.
  • In April 2009, The Director General of Foreign Trade issued a notification banning the use of handsets without an IMEI number with immediate effect.
  • Get the IMEI number implanted in your mobile handset immediately as otherwise your number will be disconnected and you will not be in a possition to operate the mobile phone.

Samsung Pixon12 or M8910

  • The Samsung Pixon 12 or M8910 is a sequel to its earlier Pixon 8 or the M8800 except for a few changes the handsets are similar in design and features.
  • The USP of Pixon12 is surely its 12 megapixel camera, the first for a mobile phone. With the placement of the camera, the touch screen functionality and the overall look it is difficult to decide whether it is a phone with a camera or a camera which doubles up as a phone.
  • Samsung has with its Pixon12 showed its customers that mobiles can produce images matching the quality of digicams.
  • The Pixon12 comes with a image resolution of 4000 X 3000 pixels, an autofocus unit with both Xenon and LED flash and exciting imaging features which make it a succeess over other competitors in the market.
  • The Pixon 12 is capable of taking exellent photographs even in poor light conditions, though the video recording is not very much impressive.
  • The user friendly interface, host of connectivity options and multimedia festures make the Pixon12 a snappy shooter.
  • The high price of Rs 29990 may keep some customers away.
