Turn any surface into a touch screen!

  • These are the days of touch screens. But to get these facilities one need to get the entire gadget what so ever it be like an i Phone, Black Berry storm or an HTC HD2
  • But just think how wonderful it would be it you can transform any solid surface into a touch screen by pacing just a thin sheet of film over it? Well. This is just what Portugal based Displex has come out with.
  • Just place the sheet on or under a glass or plastic or wooden sheet and press to it. That is all to be done by you transform it into a touch screen!
  • Creating the magic is an assortment of nanowires embedded in the film that recognizes your fingers and transmits information to a micro controller and software suite that, in turn, shows what you have entered on your computer.

Samsung Pixon12 or M8910

  • The Samsung Pixon 12 or M8910 is a sequel to its earlier Pixon 8 or the M8800 except for a few changes the handsets are similar in design and features.
  • The USP of Pixon12 is surely its 12 megapixel camera, the first for a mobile phone. With the placement of the camera, the touch screen functionality and the overall look it is difficult to decide whether it is a phone with a camera or a camera which doubles up as a phone.
  • Samsung has with its Pixon12 showed its customers that mobiles can produce images matching the quality of digicams.
  • The Pixon12 comes with a image resolution of 4000 X 3000 pixels, an autofocus unit with both Xenon and LED flash and exciting imaging features which make it a succeess over other competitors in the market.
  • The Pixon 12 is capable of taking exellent photographs even in poor light conditions, though the video recording is not very much impressive.
  • The user friendly interface, host of connectivity options and multimedia festures make the Pixon12 a snappy shooter.
  • The high price of Rs 29990 may keep some customers away.

IAC Prodigy E-Reader: EV-DO, WCDMA, HSPA, WiMax; whoof and what not!

After GSmart 1200 and SilverPac Picture Frame, the gadget that caught our attraction at Computex in Taipei is the IAC Prodigy E-Reader which boasts every wireless connection man has ever invented like the EV-DO, WCDMA, HSPA, WiMax, 802.11 b/g and more. Joining the crowd of E-book readers like Cool-er, Cybook Opus, the prodigy e-reader tries to stand out from the crowd with its display of 6 inch e-paper touchscreen with a good 800X600 resolution unlike the Hanvon N510 Ebook Reader which doesn’t have a good sized screen.

However if you think that e-book readers should be simple and effective without this much features studded into them, I fully agree with you. E-book Readers should be simple and affordable such that they become useful to everyone especially students. Read on to find the specs.

LG KP500!!!!!!!!!!

The LG Cookie KP500 is selling for around Rs.12,500 with a one-year warranty. The phone is a decent buy considering its main feature i.e. is a full-touch handset. If you look at it as a phone or a convergence device the Cookie isn't so sweet. It has a slow interface and lacks performance of most features that a phone at its price point would provide. I liked the phone for what it tries to achieve but won t recommend it for a demanding user.
If you really want a touch phone then I suggest you invest another 2-3K and pick the HTC Touch Viva or still better without extending your budget too far you can pick the Sony Ericsson G700. These phones have better features to offer other than the whole touch touch hype that you are after. Thanks to the iphone

APPLE'S NEW 10INCH TOUCHSCREEN TABLET

AppleInsider stated that the reports from Wall Street Journal made it clear that Apple is working on a portable device, which is apparently smaller than its current laptop computers but bigger than the iPhone or iPod Touch.
Although there is no clarity in the design of the device, hearsay pointed out that the company has ordered 10-inch touchscreens for an anonymous product.By accumulating all the scattered gossips into one frame, it seems that Apple is either developing a tablet-class device or a portable gizmo
